Physical Therapy principles are used to assist with the re-conditioning of the pelvic floor muscles.  The pelvic floor muscles span the bottom of the pelvis and support the pelvic organs including the bowel and bladder.  The goal of physical therapy treatment is to improve the strength and function of these muscles, as well as alleviate weakness, pain and dysfunction.

What to expect:

All sessions are performed in a private room with the same therapist every visit.  The therapist will work closely with you to address your issues and concerns creating an individualized plan of care to help your recovery.  Physical therapy treatment will include establishing a home exercise program and may include manual therapy to assess and treat your condition. Upon scheduling you first appointment, you will be provided details on how to dress for and prepare for your first visit.
